My Personal Letter
Dear host family.
My name is Ariane and my friends and family usually call me Ari. I am 22 years old and I was born in Brazil.
I live with my mother, she is a dance teacher, and my stepfather is a machine technician. Also, I have two adorable and funny cats, Sabrina and Frajola… I love pets!
My parents are divorced since 2004 but thanks to God, they’re very good friends.
My father is a Real Estate Agent. My family and I spend a lot of quality time together. We usually watch movies, barbecue in our back yard and talk about things we have done during the week. We always have a lot of fun together.
I live in Indaiatuba where is located in the country side of Sao Paulo, it has approximately 200.000 (two hundred thousand) people and It’s an organized, clean, peaceful, wooded… anyway; It’s an excellent place to live.
I’m a Bachelor in Human Resources and I work for Chemistry Company since 2007. I work as an Administrative Assistant. Nowadays, I study English twice a week and I am dedicating myself to this challenge. I know I have limitations but I am working hard, specially with my studies, so I can learn English as much as possible before I leave Brazil. I’m sure that my English will improve when I get there. I feel that I have a lot to learn and with my host family’s help, I’m pretty sure that I can make it.
In my free time, I love to enjoy my friends company, go shopping, ride my bike with my father, take long walks, visit museums and go to the park to spend a few hours and read a good book. Also, I love to swim and dance. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of free time to do everything that I would like to do, but I always try my best.
I can describe myself as a honest, sincere, responsible, dedicate, very organized, energetic and very fun person too. Since I was a little girl, I have been helping my mom to keep our home happy and organized.
I love children and I love to learn about other cultures so, after long talks with few people in regards to Au Pair, I made my decision, because the program will give me the opportunity to do what I love to do… take care of kids , study English, be in another country and learn about its culture.
I love to be with kids because not only I identify myself, but I also learn a lot with them.
I have been working with kids for few years now, usually on the weekends and sometimes during the week too.
I can change dippers, bottle and spoon feed, bath, cook the necessary meals, bed time stories, etc. Also, with older kids, I help them with their homework, take them to the playground, play basketball and other games.
I really hope that we can be able to exchange our experiences and develop a pleasant and positive relationship.
Well, right now I am a little anxious, but I am feeling ready to become a part of your family.
I hope I can meet your family soon.
